Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. Later, she would be Romania's gymnastics coach. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. In her very first international competition in 1972, she won the event having won three golds. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform the backward double salto in dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment field performing as figure skater. Along with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. When she was a child she was an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows were skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
