April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. When she was 12 years old, April wrote her first song Different. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing songs and honed her musicianship abilities. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father as well as write her songs in NY or LA. April began including other topics in the book, Take My Hand, for those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia she has gained a large following. She was not born with a left-hand, which is why she's what she is. But that's far from the whole story. As a result Lockhart's Instagram page does not shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around it neither. The point? That we all contain multitudes and that we are all unique and we're more than our physical selves. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability will define me. My goal is not to influence disabilities because I've got plenty to offer." But it does not affect my everyday routine. I continue to do my normal activities and I've adapted to my disabilities. It's an integral part of my life, therefore it's important that we talk about it. Lockhart who is an source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting, is on a long road to reach this. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body, at times, feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing showing how much of her body. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts pictures of herself in these outfits on social media, she is proud of herself. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not an end goal. This is, however, common for anyone that is prone to doubts. It is essential to surround yourself with individuals who truly know the person you are.
